The Green Martian
Laurent V'ronnez aka Airwave and The Green Martian lived in Brussels until he was 20 years young, experimenting with computers and synthesizers at his home. After sending his first demo to Lightning Records, he became one of the main artists of the new age in electronic music. After the first small successes with PLG, North Pole, Montera and Magnetix, he had his first breakthrough with the first release of Fire & Ice, produced together with DJ Fire. He decided to move to Antwerp so he could concentrate more on his production work. The first results were new releases for Fire & Ice, Planisphere and Meridian. After that he evolved more and more becoming a real professional artist by producing both Airwave and Body-Shock. He quickly became an instant star in the progressive and trance scene. Besides all that he has also remixed for the likes of Yves Deruyter, Da Hool, Aurora, Solar Stone, Blue Alphabet, Push and Jones & Stephenson.
Laurent has always essentially been influenced by the roots of electronic music, since the early beginning, from Kraftwerk to FSOL, and great producers like Jarre, Orbital, Oliver Lieb and BT. He defines his own musical style as 'pure electronic dance music with a sniff of electronica and trance and progressive sounds' which is a result of many years of discovering and being inspired by his musical heroes.
Mondo Records released 'Ladies & Gentlemen' from his alter ego The Green Martian, following his success under this guise with tracks such as Dreams Come True, Industry and Harmonic Minor, which tore up dancefloors across Europe.
