Steve Anderson

Steve Anderson is a full time DJ/Producer/Record Label Owner based in Edinburgh, Scotland. With an extensive history in the music industry which dates back to the age of 7, Steve claimed National & World Drumming titles before the age of 14. After performing around the UK in various bands in his teens, Steve fully moved into the EDM sector in 1994 starting out as a DJ in Scotlands clubs.

Steve went on to secure weekly residencies in some of Scotlands elite venues between 1994 and 2000, before being headhunted by Edinburgh Superclub “Cube” and Glasgow FM Radio Station “Beat 106” for the DJ/Director Of Music residency and Live Broadcast work in 2001. From 2001-2004 Steve attracted a large following across Scotland as a result, and thereafter began working as a Trance Music Producer and Label Owner. Since 2004 he has toured in Europe, as well as promoted and played at some of the worlds finest clubs & events such as Eden Ibiza, Tramps Tenerife, the Miami WMC & more. Steve also made the move into music production in 2004, and shortly after joined forces with Chris Breame to create the hugely popular Trance duo A/B Project. The guys can lay claim to some big releases, as well as earning various awards for their tracks in the last couple of years.

Steve owns and runs DJSA Records, SAME Recordings and SAME Progressive labels - which he first kicked off by releasing his own productions on 12” Vinyl. The labels are a base for some fantastic artists including A/B Project, Daniel Kandi, Sunny Lax, BRM, Steve Anderson, Ehren Stowers, Conrad S, Simon Bostock and many more. Successes include ASOT “Future Favourite” and “Tune Of The Week” awards, licensing to various commercially released compilation CD albums – and more recently to the DVD release of “Armin Only 2008” on Armada Music in Holland. 2009 has a host of fantastic new music on the way from SAME Recordings and SAME Progressive, so make sure you keep up to date at the label website. Alongside his DJ and production work, Steve also hosts “The SAME Radio Show” every two weeks, which attracts a mass global audience and is available on numerous FM stations worldwide, DI.FM and is also available through iTunes as a podcast. The show has huge global support, and is the place to hear the best in new and upcoming Trance – as well as exclusive early auditions of all Steve Anderson/A/B Project/SAME Recordings releases.

A former turntablist with almost unrivalled technical ability, Steve Anderson brings incredible energy and perfection to both his DJ sets and studio production work – as is evident in his recent huge releases such as “Eternal Optimism”, “Misconceptions”, “Neve”, “Another Time”, “Relentless” and “Before Long”. Steve was the first ever Trance artist to be awarded “One For The Weekend” by National BBC Radio One in the UK, and his work is constantly being heavily supported by the world’s elite DJs and radio shows. He also turned in his debut vocal performance on his solo single “Neve” which was immediately supported by Armin van Buuren on “A State Of Trance” radio show, and the track has received huge critical acclaim across the globe. With a host of fantastic new productions constantly in the pipeline, Steve Anderson is one of the finest Trance DJs, Producers, Remixers and Vocalists working in the dance music industry today.
